Sessali had to walk home that day, but luckily she didn't live to far.

"Sessali!" The voice of Chloe run out. The small blonde girl's feet pattered over. "You have to walk home?"

"Yep." Sessali simply replied, and carried on.

Chloe shook her head. "Ride with me! My mom can take you home!"

"I'm fine." She told her as she kept walking.

The blonde pouted. "Please?"

"No, I want to walk."

Chloe scoffed, turned on her heel, and stomped back to the school's parking lot to wait for her mother.

But Sessali ignored her. She truly liked walking home, unlike most kids. She liked to watch the birds fly around, and look at the flowers people had in their front yard.

Sessali didn't even live twenty minutes away from the school by car. She was used to walking home, though, since her mom had to work most of the day.

She walked and walked, until she noticed something in the corner of her eyes.

It was a dark van. The windows were tinted as well.

It wouldn't have bothered Sessali, if it wasn't riding up right behind her, very slowly.

So, she quickened pace up a notch.

The van did the very same as the young girl.

Sessali wanted to just walk up someone's driveway, and pretend she lived there, that way the van would leave. That's what her mother had taught her to do when she was younger.

But, she didn't see a house close enough to do so.

She decided to run, and hope the van would just give up and leave her alone.

Sessali bolted, her dainty little legs taking her down the sidewalk very quickly.

The dark van with tinted windows sped too, but past her.

She stopped running, believed that the van had finally quit following her.

But, that was a mistake.

The van turned, and sped back to her. It got closer, and closer, and blocked her path of walking.

Sessali had stopped, frozen in fear. Her mind told her to get the heck out of there, but her body had stayed put.

A tall, thin, and pale man wearing surprisingly formal clothing exited the vehicle, and jogged towards her.

Run! Her conscious finally screamed at her, and Sessali turned. She started to run, but the man grabbed her. He covered her mouth, preventing her from screaming.

His hand was massive, compared to her, and was blocked air from entering her nose.

Sessali's vision started to fade, as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Oh, how she wished she got a ride with Chloe now.
Short chapter, and I'm sorry for that. Kinda lost my idea of what happens after the end of this chapter...

I wrote this during school.
